As an artist in the 21st century I make connections. In my work I connect people, places, materials, moments, ideas, information. My work is inspired by everyday life. The material that I use comes from everyday life. Via my art I aim to give something back to everyday life.
My work comes in parts, in fragments, that are scattered around the network. My work cannot be defined as an object in a physical space. Instead it is a collection of elements, of details, fragments and moments, distributed via a web of connections.
My work is like a jigsaw puzzle. Each separate piece is a work on its own, but when merged together with other pieces a new composition appears. Each new piece adds something to the image. Mixed with other information, such as the personal experience of the spectator, a full picture appears. A picture that is different for everyone.
